Abel Advertised Book Online Deals Rates
All Abel Rent A Car advertised online pricing rates are inclusive of 100km cap per day unless otherwise stated. At the time of rental, the customer must provide their credit card or Visa, MasterCard Debit Card for their security bond. (Debit Cards have special conditions; please check in store for more information). A surcharge may apply to all rental products and services supplied by Abel when booking over the phone or directly at the branch. The renter must have their credit card with them at the time of vehicle pickup for their security bond. No additional discounts or vouchers can be redeemed against reservations made online.

Deals are Brisbane Metro Franchises only. Not Applicable at Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast. Tweed Heads or Toowoomba locations.

Abel Online Web Deal's Pricing During School or Public Holidays
Rentals during School Holidays, Public Holidays, Christmas & Easter periods are subject to Higher rental rates. Rates are based on Abel's occupancy levels at the time of booking online or over the phone in-line with all major competitors. (Avis, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty, Europcar, Redspot)

Abel's Online Bookings Incur No Fees and Charges
Booking deals made online will not incur any fees and charges. Please note: Any change made to the web online booking at the time of the vehicle pickup is subject to other fees ( eg. Administration fee, credit card fee, vehicle recovery fee, or booking fee).

Abel Standard Internet Online $29 , $49 $59 and $79 Web Rate  special deals Includes 100kmls Free for cars and 200 for commercials per day ... When booked online on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Any extensions past Thursday incurs additional premium fee for all categories 
Additional kilometres are charged at the following rate and are payable at time of vehicle return:
Passenger Vehicles at 27.5 cents per kms
Commercial Vehicles at 55 cents per kms

"We Guarantee to Beat any Major Competitor"
Avis, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty, Europcar or Redspot unless the required vehicle class is unavailable or booked out at time of making your reservation. Please send a copy of the quote to our reservation centre in order to secure the booking.

Airport Transfers, yes are Free!
Abel has free regular shuttle services available from our Brisbane Airport location in accordance with our hours of operation. When you return your vehicle, please allow up to 30 minutes to check-in your hire vehicle and transfer to the airport.

Rental Requirements

Driver's Min Age
Drivers of hire vehicles must be of a minimum 21 years or older, those aged 21 to 24 are restricted to the types of vehicles they can hire. All drivers under the age of 25 pay a daily age surcharge. See in store for details.

Driver's Licenses
Drivers are to be a minimum age of 21 years and must hold a Current Open Australian, Overseas or International Driver’s License. Note: Drivers with Provisional licenses P-Plate are not accepted by our insurance company.

Abel Rent A Car or its Agents Do Not Sell Insurance!
Abel Rent A Car does not sell insurance.... it simply offers the customer the option to reduce their damage liability in the event of an MVA accident. This product is Only available at the time of rental vehicle pickup.

Vehicle Insurance -Security Bond Can Only Be a Credit Card
All Renters need to have their Credit Card with them at time of vehicle pick up for their security bond. Abel's insurance will not insure a vehicle to anyone that does not have a credit card at the time of vehicle pick up.

Abel Rental Vehicle Payment
- We accept the following payments:

• Cash Payments Yes with a Credit Card (for security bond purposes)
• EFTPOS
• VISA, MasterCard & American Express
• Note: Unfortunately we do not accept personal or company cheques.

All Vehicles, for insurance company reasons, need to have a Security Bond (Credit Card Only)
At the time of your rental pick up please have a valid (Visa/Master card) credit card with you. You will be required to have the cost of the rental plus a minimum of a $250 pre-authorisation security bond for all cars and $350 for 8 seater Buses and Commercial vehicles available at the time of rental. Once you return the hire vehicle - and if no further charges apply - the pre-authorisation charge will be automatically released by your financial institution. Depending on their release cycle this normally takes anywhere between 7-21 business days. Please consult your financial institution for additional details.

Note: Abel does not hold any Pre-Authorisation Security Bond. All Bond releases are subject to Bank release cycles.

Renters, Hires, Credit Card Holders, Standard Financial Responsibility

Collision Damage Liability Waiver
All of our rental vehicles are insured. The renter/hirer credit card holder is given the benefit of this coverage and is subject to the conditions of the rental agreement. There is a Standard Multi Vehicle Damage Liability of:

• Passenger Vehicles - $4400 including GST
• Utes and Vans - $5500 including GST
• Buses - $6600 including GST
• Trucks - $7700 including GST

This is included with all standard daily rates in the event of an accident with another vehicle.

Customers Options to reduce their financial liability for peace of mind
All Renter liability amounts are payable at the time when returning the vehicle otherwise insurance/claims is voided. We are able to offer you the option to reduce your Multi Vehicle Damage Liability to the following:

• Passenger Vehicles - $440 including GST
• Utes and Vans - $550 including GST
• Buses - $660 including GST
• Trucks - $770 including GST

This Collision Damage Liability Waiver ("LDW-MVA") is optional. Please see in store for details. 

Abel Rent A Car offers the option to reduce your damage liability in the event of an accident.

Single Vehicle Damage
Abel Rent A Car does not cover any Single Vehicle Accident/Incident Damage in any case. Renters/Hirers/Credit Card Holders are advised that all rollovers, overhead, undercarriage, water, hail damage, abuse, negligence, offroad/beach driving, windscreen and tyre damage - however caused - is at the hirers risk and is not covered by Any Liability Damage Waivers or insurance LDW-MVA. Please note that insurance is void if the rental car or vehicle is driven on unsealed roads.

Tyre & Windscreen
Abel Rent a Car is pleased to announce the launch of the Tyre & Windscreen additional cover!!

Tyre and Windscreen covers all tyres In the event of damage or puncture to the tyres (and not Hub caps, In addition it also covers the front windscreen Only, and not Side windows or rear window. 

• Passenger Vehicles - $3.30 per day
• Utes and Vans - $4.40 per day
• Trucks - $6.60 per day

Administration Charges
The following administration charges will apply to your vehicle rental at the time of processing:

• Accident Claims Processing Fee - $275 including GST
• Accident Independent Assessors Fee - $250 including GST
• Fraudulent Customer Chargeback Fee - $110 including GST + the cost of the amount charged back.
• Traffic Infringements - $110 including GST
• Renter "at-fault" Roadside Assistance - $85 including GST
• Toll's and Etag Infringements - $55 including GST
• All legal expenses incurred in relation to recovering Administration Charges will be charged to the renter/credit card holder.

Additional Driver

Additional drivers who are listed on the Rental Agreement under the Additional Drivers section (and have presented their current driver's licence at the time of collecting the hire vehicle) are protected under the Terms & Conditions of the Rental Agreement. A small fee may apply.

Rental Duration
Each car rental day period is 24 hours. Extra hours are calculated at 1/3 the daily rate until the daily rate is reached. Any options are calculated daily.

Refund Policy
In general there are no refunds for the early return of vehicles. In certain circumstances and at the discretion of Abel Rent A Car/franchisee/licensed agents, refunds may be awarded for a vehicle's early return. Any change of plans must be notified to our office in writing.

Cancellations / No Shows
All bookings cancelled or no showed will incur a surcharge of $50 if not advised within 7 days of the booking rental date.

Refuelling
Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. We ask that you return your rental vehicle full of fuel, or the renter/hirer/credit card holder will be charged a refuelling fee of $2.20 Per Litre inc GST payable at the of of the vehicle's return.

Roadside Assistance
All vehicles are covered by 24/7 Roadside Assistance. Roadside Assistance does not cover non-mechanical defects such as lost keys, keys locked in the vehicle, a flat battery due to lights being left on etc. Costs charged to Abel Rent A Car will be on-charged to the vehicle renter.

GPS Navigation
Yes, We have optional GPS Navigation available. Please see in store for great deals.

Street Directory
Street Directories are available on request subject to availability.

Free Airport Transfers
Regular shuttle services are available to and from our Brisbane Airport location in accordance with our hours of operation. When you return your vehicle, please allow 30 minutes to check-in your hire car and transfers to the airport.

Discount Vouchers
Discount vouchers are not accepted on web rates or online specials.
