To hire a car, ute, van or truck through Abel Rent a Car, all you need is a current driver's licence and credit card.
Driver's licence
Drivers must hold a current open Australian, overseas or international driver's licence.
Age
Drivers of hire vehicles must be 21 years old or older and those aged 21 to 24 are restricted to the types of vehicles they can hire. All drivers under the age of 25 pay a daily age surcharge.
Payment
At the time of car rental, please have your current driver's licence and credit card with you.
Before you drive away, you need to have the cost of the car hire plus a maximum of $330 pre-authorisation security bond available on your credit card.
We hold the bond as security through the rental period. After you return the hire vehicle - and if no further charges apply - the pre-authorisation charge will be automatically returned within 5-7 working days by your financial institution.
We accept Visa, Bankcard, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Card.
